Richmond is a coastal city incorporated in the Canadian province of British Columbia. It is the location of Vancouver International Airport and was the site of the long track speed skating events during the 2010 Winter Olympics. Located on Lulu Island at the mouth of the Fraser River, and also encompasses adjacent Sea Island and some smaller uninhabited islets to the north and south, it is known for its Asian influences and home to the International Buddhist Temple, an elaborate complex resembling Beijing’s Forbidden City.
